Welcome to The Highland Joker Blog!

My name is Eran The Bubble Man! This is a bit about myself: I recently graduated from the Guildford School of Acting (MA Acting). My father used to be a Circus Ring-Master and worked as an agent for actors and musicians for many years before becoming an Art Dealer; his father before him was an award-winning artist, so I was born into a family full of artistic flair. I have been collecting magic tricks and other fun gadgets since I was a teenager, and as an adult, I have been continuing to enjoy games and being playful in my life.

I served three years in the army and later followed my path as a performing artist. In 2006 My friend, Roi, who is a Storyteller & performer introduced me to a Giant Bubble Sword he owned! I was captivated and entranced at once, playing for a long time creating these amazing colourful soapy orbs. Soon after, I ordered some Bubble swords and other bubble toys (like a skipping rope that makes bubbles) and began a new passion, one of soap and wonder.

How It All Began

Last year during a visit to Berlin, I saw a man busking with Giant Bubbles, at a market place, performing and entertaining with lots of different hand made tools, he was bringing joy too everyone around him and at the same time making a livelihood for himself. I was inspired and decided to follow suit; Over the past months I have upgraded my magic props collection, built Giant bubbles tools and acquired a few character mascots. I have been rehearsing and the trying out my magic show and my bubble show with the local Findhorn Youth Project,  and also at a local family birthday party. The feedback was great. We are excited to launch and now offer our services to local public events and for birthday parties, weddings and celebrations. For me, it has been an important step, on my own journey, to move away from being a soldier in the Middle East in the 1990s, and becoming a spreader of joy, fun and peace in the world!
